Celebrate back-to-school season as the School District's Back-2-School Bus Tour makes a special stop at The District on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 10:00am to 2:00pm, at The Cube (901 Market Street entrance).
Fashion District Philadelphia is teaming up with The School District of Philadelphia to help Philadelphia families prepare to head back to school this fall. The two organizations will provide students with complimentary backpacks and school supplies (while supplies last), back-to-school information, no charge immunizations and physicals, education activities for kids, school registration, Parent Portal help, and of course fun games, treats and other surprises.
The events will include a parade with the 76ers Drumline, The Sixers Stixers, music from @DJb_all, and a Fashion Show presented by Philly Fashion Week featuring a full contest for the kids to win great prizes. Businesses in The District’s businesses will also offer specials, promotions and events.
"Fashion District Philadelphia is proud to team up with The School District of Philadelphia to help Philadelphia youth be set-up for success for this coming school season," said Fashion District Philadelphia General Manager Ryan Williams, CMD. "This is one of many programs we do throughout the year to support our local families and communities. We hope to see everyone on Friday, August 9th! We look forward to being part of back-to-school season for families across the city for the 2024-2025 school year."
He added, "We are now accepting donations of brand new back-packs and school supplies to help aid as many families as possible.” Donations of new backpacks and school supplies can be dropped off at Levi's (Level 2R).
