Police nab 2 of 3 suspects who fled from Lansdale multi-vehicle crash Wednesday

Three people fled the scene of a four-vehicle crash at Green and Vine streets in Lansdale Wednesday evening, but only two were taken into custody after a foot pursuit by police.

Lansdale Police would not confirm if one of the vehicles was stolen and said the crash is still under investigation, as the accident report is not complete. Charges may be filed, police said.

Police confirmed the incident originated in Hatfield Township.

Police said the accident occurred at 5:43 p.m. and involved a Toyota Sienna, a Ford Edge, a Chevrolet Trailblazer, and a Toyota Scion.

The accident closed Green and Vine streets until 7:12 p.m., police said.

Lansdale Police were assisted at the scene by Upper Gwynedd Police, Towamencin Township Police, Hatfield Police, Horsham Police, Fairmount Fire Co. of Lansdale, and VMSC Emergency Medical Services.

Police would not comment on any injuries or conditions of persons involved in the crash.
