Atlantic City announced a lineup of events focusing on the community, including pampering seniors and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.
Residents 55 and older will be treated to a day of manicures, pedicures, haircuts and chair massagers courtesy of Atlantic City Senior Services.
The second such event of the summer will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. next Monday at the PAL Building.

The Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ+ Affairs is holding its second annual Rainbow Beach Bash on Aug. 22.
The bash will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. at Rainbow Beach on Park Place, near Brighton Park.
The day will feature music, food, games and more.
The event is open to everyone who can bring whatever they normally would take for a day on the beach.
The Atlantic City Police Department organizes free community barbecues in every Atlantic City ward throughout the summer.
There are two left.
Next Wednesday is Ward 5's turn with hotdogs, hamburgers and police coming together for residents at Pete Pallitto Field.
The Third Ward will have its barbecue Aug. 29 at Brown’s Park.
Both will run from 3 to 5 p.m.
The Mayor’s Office of Special Events has organized the city’s first Community Picnic set from 4 to 8 p.m. Aug. 24 on the hill at Gardner’s Basin.
Attendees are encouraged to pick a theme and bring decorations supporting that theme, along with their favorite dishes, snacks and games, while enjoying them with members of the community,
