Hootie & the Blowfish, Friday, August 16 

The Summer Camp with Trucks Tour marks the first full tour since 2019 for the band whose chart-topping, GRAMMY-award winning career has featured more than 25 million albums sold. 

On Friday, the tour stops at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden with special guests Collective Soul and Edwin McCain.

Hootie & The Blowfish’s two-time Diamond-certified debut album Cracked Rear View remains among the top 10 best-selling albums in all of music history.

      

Philadelphia Folk Festival, Friday, August 16 through Sunday, August 18 

The Philadelphia Folksong Society presents the 61st annual Philadelphia Folk Festival, located on the iconic Old Pool Farm, in Upper Salford Township in Montgomery County. The longstanding event features music, camping, crafts, food, family fun and cultural activities for all ages. 

The music goes daily from 11am until midnight, on Friday and Saturday, and from 11am until 9:30pm on Sunday evening across seven stages presenting some of the finest folk music happening today – from traditional to contemporary. Campers get early access to set up their campsites, with the gates opening at 10am on Thursday, August 15th. 


Smorefest Music Festival, Saturday, August 17

WXPN presents the 5th annual Smorefest Music Festival at World Cafe Live, an unforgettable music experience featuring two stages, 20 performers, 5 DJs and headlined by one of the hottest artists in music, LaRussell. Smorefest is more than just a concert; it’s a celebration of music, culture and community combining a lineup of talented artists, delicious food, vendors, and interactive experiences. 


Strawberry Mansion Health Fest / Philly Food Truck Festival, Saturday, August 17

Strawberry Mansion health fest Sponsoring the Philly Food Truck Festival this year. This family friendly event features food trucks, vendors, live music, Resource Tables, raffle table, carnival games, bouncy houses, face painting and more. All of the event proceeds will benefit sending children with Autism and their families to summer camp programs and other events throughout the year.


Dog Day of Summer, Saturday, August 17 

Manayunk celebrates our four-legged friends Saturday with Dog Day of Summer, an afternoon of pet-friendly vendors and activities, though the family-friendly event is for both four and two-legged guests. Pet parents and guests can enjoy yappy hour specials and shopping. And, of course, there will be plenty of pet-friendly activities including a puppy park and agility course, canine caricatures, dog day photo booth, peanut butter puppy painting and more. 


Second Annual Philadelphia Hot Sauce Festival, Saturday, August 17 through Sunday, August 18 

Whitehouse Station Sauce Company & Cast Iron Kyle present the Second Annual Philadelphia Hot Sauce Festival at Neshaminy Creek Brewing in Croydon, Pa. Two dozen hot sauce vendors will be participating this year. There are multiple events scheduled throughout the festival including the Philly Spice Awards, a Reaper Eating Challenge, Hot Wing Eating Challenge, Marshmallows from Hell Challenge and Spiked Pizza eating challenge.


Philadelphia Caribbean Festival, Sunday, August 18 

The Philadelphia Caribbean Festival blends the authentic island sounds of reggae, roots international beat, soca, cool jazz, steel band music with creative dances complemented by a marketplace of Caribbean fashions, jewelry and exotic cuisines. Kids can participate in the Caribbean Children's Village, featuring face painting, bead-making, balloon animals, bean bags and other games. The free festival, part of the PECO Multicultural Series, celebrates 14 Caribbean Islands at Cherry Street Pier and Race Street Pier from 12 to 8 p.m. 

      

P!NK: Summer Carnival 2024, Sunday, August 18  

P!NK takes her tour back on the road again this summer, with special guests The Script, Sheryl Crow and KidCutUp. The show at Lincoln Financial Field is already sold out, but if you were lucky enough to snag a ticket already, there are upgrades available.
