Philadelphia is one of the nation's rudest cities, according to a new study by a real estate analysis firm.
Clever surveyed 1,000 Americans on the most and least desirable places to live. Philly finished 10th on the rundown of cities with the rudest residents. There are two silver linings, though. The first: Philly was actually No. 1 in a different rudest city survey from 2022. Also: Five East Coast cities are considered ruder according to the Clever study -- New York is No. 1, Washington D.C. is No. 2, Buffalo is No. 5, Boston is No. 7 and Baltimore is No. 8.
The study was not terribly kind to Philly on the whole. Clever polled respondents about 50 cities. Philly finished tied with Cleveland for 48th in the overall rankings, besting only Detroit. It finished 13th among the ugliest places to live in the U.S. and 19th for most annoying residents.
