A summons was issued for a Philadelphia woman allegedly involved in a hit-and-run incident in Upper Gwynedd.

Brittany Ann Hall, 30, of the 2000 block of Robbins Avenue, was charged Oct. 31 by Upper Gwynedd Township Police with misdemeanor accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle for the incident that occurred Oct. 14 at 1:43 p.m. at Royal Avenue and Sumneytown Pike, police said.

Police were dispatched to the intersection for a hit-and-run report, where the victim relayed that he was driving eastbound on Sumneytown Pike and stopped before Royal Avenue, as the car in front of him was turning left, police said.

A maroon 2011 Toyota Corolla sedan, allegedly driven by Hall, rear-ended the car and then fled the scene, police said. The entire incident was captured on video surveillance, per the report.

Through an investigation, police identified Hall as the owner of the Toyota. With help from Philadelphia Police, officers obtained photos of Hall’s Toyota, which was parked on the street, in front of her house, with damage to its front bumper, police said.

Police said Hall admitted to driving the car at the time of the hit-and-run and fleeing the scene, adding that it was uninsured.

Hall has also been charged with summary offenses of failure to stop and give information or render aid, failure to report an accident to police, and driving without insurance, which is a $300 fine, police said in the affidavit.

A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 19 at 9:15 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Suzan Leonard.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
