Franklin Square is set to dazzle visitors with Winter in Franklin Square, running from November 21, 2024, to February 23, 2025. This holiday celebration brings together festive lights, seasonal treats and unique activities. At the heart of the event is the free Electrical Spectacle Light Show, a stunning display of hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights choreographed to seasonal classics, now including Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Philadelphia Eagles stars Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, and Jordan Mailata.

Each night, visitors can gather around cozy fire pits, savor hot drinks (including spiked options for adults), and enjoy activities like Street Curling and Chilly Philly Mini Golf, both adorned with holiday lights and decorations. Ben On the Rocks, a warming tent, offers handcrafted cocktails and seasonal treats, making it a perfect spot to relax.

Holiday events will bring joy to all ages, featuring:

  • Jingle and Mingle with Santa, Santa Paws (pet-friendly), and Brunch with Santa
  • Celebrations of Kwanzaa on December 29 and Hanukkah on December 30
  • Kids’ New Year’s Eve Countdown with activities for children
  • Special themed weekends, including Ice Princess Weekend and Lunar New Year Celebration
  • Fun adult-themed nights like Boozy Ben’s “Bengo” and Presidents’ Day Quizzo
  • The Electrical Spectacle Light Show will run every evening from 5-9 pm, featuring a rotation of classic holiday songs like All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey, Feliz Navidad by José Feliciano, and Nutcracker Suite by Tchaikovsky. Starting January 9, the light show will focus on Winter Wonderland by Johnny Mathis, with shows Thursdays through Sundays from 5-7 pm.

Franklin Square’s daytime attractions, including the Parx Liberty Carousel, SquareBurger, playgrounds, and mini golf, remain open, with the light shows starting in the evening. Located at 6th & Race Streets, Franklin Square offers a perfect mix of family fun, seasonal entertainment, and festive spirit, all within Historic Philadelphia.
