Phillies fans excited to hear Joe Davis this postseason will have to hope the team makes it to the NLCS.
According to Jimmy Traina of Sports Illustrated, Davis and Smoltz — FOX's No. 1 MLB broadcast booth — have been assigned to the San Diego Padres-Los Angeles Dodgers series.
NLDS broadcaster assignments on FOX/FS1:
Padres-Dodges: Joe Davis, John Smoltz
Mets/Brewers vs. Phillies: Adam Amin, AJ Pierzynski, Adam Wainwright https://t.co/Ka8aps4WhN
The Phillies series will have Adam Amin as the play-by-play announcer, with former All-Stars A.J. Pierzynski and Adam Wainwright serving as color commentators in the FOX booth.
Game 1 of the series will be on Saturday at 4:08 p.m. ET on FOX. Game 2 of the series on Sunday will also start at 4:08 ET, but this time be on FS1, since it conflicts with NFL.
Of course, the Phillies don't yet know who their opponent will be, as the New York Mets and Milwaukee Brewers will play a win-or-go-home Game 3 in their NLWCS Thursday night. Regardless of which opponent the Phillies face, the first two games will be at Citizens Bank Park.
