Police are searching for several alleged car thieves following a chase and crash in West Philadelphia, according to several reports.
Cops said three men carjacked a vehicle around 5:15 a.m. A car chase then began about 15 minutes later. Police gave pursuit for a few miles before the chase ended when the driver lost control of the stolen car and struck a parked car before careening into the porch of a home on the 400 block of Horton St.
The alleged carjackers then bolted from the car and appeared to disappear into a nearby alley; police are looking for them and have dispatched K-9 units.
A backpack with a gun was found in the alley. The driver whose car was stolen is OK, according to NBC 10.
