One man reported trapped as responders report to Spring Garden Street near Tennis Avenue

A vehicular accident with reports of a trapped driver had emergency crews responding to Ambler Tuesday afternoon.

According to dispatch, calls went out to Montgomery County Public Safety around 1:41 p.m. to the area of Spring Garden Street between Tennis Avenue and East Mount Pleasant Avenue. One male driver was reported as trapped inside his vehicle.

A red Honda Pilot is on its driver’s side in around the 200 block of Spring Garden Street. The entrapped male was transported via ambulance to the hospital following rescue extraction measures. His condition was not reported. 

Roadways are blocked in the area. Drivers are asked to avoid the street until it is cleared.

Currently responding to the scene are multiple units from Wissahickon Fire Company, the Community Ambulance Association of Ambler, and Cheltenham Fire Company, as well as Ambler Police.
