The 33rd annual Doylestown Arts Festival, organized by Discover Doylestown, returns for two days – Saturday and Sunday – to the downtown, featuring more than 150 independent artists, live music on five stages, and activities for all ages. It runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days, rain or shine.
Get curiouser and curiouser, and follow the White Rabbit to the Michener Art Museum on Thursday night from 5 to 8 for the “Art After Dark: Alice in Wonderland” at the museum at 138 S. Pine St. The evening is filled with activities based around the inspiration, George Anthonisen’s piece, Tea Party (maquette). Visitors can also enjoy the music by Tipsy Wicked in the sculpture garden. The Terrace Café will be selling food and drinks. Drink tickets for the bar can be purchased onsite (21+ only), valid ID required.
The band Lights Out performs Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the free Concert at the C&N Amphitheater Ft. Thompson Performing Arts Series at Central Park, 425 Wells Road, Doylestown.
Doylestown Historical Society hosts An Evening with TV’s Tim Stack at the Central Bucks Senior Center at 700 Shady Retreat Road in Doylestown at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Born & raised in Doylestown, Stack is an actor, writer, producer, known for “Son of the Beach” and “Night Stand with Dick Dietrick.” Stack will talk about growing up in Doylestown and his fond memories being a “Doylestownian,” and his incredible
career in television and movies. Tickets are $24 for historical society members and $28 for general admission.
Over in Plumstead Township’s Hanusey Park, 4757 Gordon Road, Doylestown, Funkin Soul Nuts plays a free concert in the park from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Concessions available, cash only. The concert is organized by Cabin Run Neighbors.
