¡Viva El Limon! The Lansdale Mexican taqueria at 314 Madison Street takes its first anniversary celebration back to its roots in Michocan, Mexico with a BYOB Mexican Fiesta on Saturday at 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Montco Happening winner for Best Mexican cuisine will feature music all day by DJ Zogi playing many subgenres of Mexican music, including banda, ranchero, corridos, norteno and cumbia.

New Hatfield Borough restaurant Poppy’s Tavern, which opened at the former Hattrick’s location at 64 E. Lincoln Ave., holds a grand opening celebration on Friday at 7 p.m., featuring music from The Keystone Breakers.

The 17th annual 2024 Egyptian Festival takes place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Mary & St. Kyrillos Coptic Orthodox Church of Hatfield, 2500 Unionville Pike. The church invites the public to the event to learn about its culture and get a little flavor too.

Sing your heart out at the free Lansdale Democratic Committee’s Karaoke & Lawn Signs end-of-summer meet and greet event on Tuesday night at 8 at East Hill Media, 157 S. Broad St., Lansdale. The in-person event will have food, music, and fun. There will be volunteer signups and plenty of singing.

On Friday, from noon to 10 p.m., head over to The Main Freeze, 813 W. Main St., Lansdale, and support York Avenue Elementary during its Dining Night Out event. Main Freeze has generously pledged 20% of all sales to the Home & School.
