This is our year — we just know it.

OK, so we say that pretty much every year, don’t rub it in. But you gotta start the sports season with optimism, and what better place than the Philly Sports-themed First Friday, this Friday, from 6 to 9 p.m. Whether or not you’re a fan — and whatever teams you might cheer for — the September First Friday has your jawn.

If you’re a fan, the game will be on the big screen so you don’t miss a play. And even if you’re not a sports fan, First Friday will keep you entertained, with water and amusements for kids, refreshments for all ages, great food, balloons, face painting and music with DJ Evans Entertainment and Juicy with Brianna Taylor on our main stage.

Since the August First Friday was canceled due to inclement weather, the September First Friday will feature two drawings for gift baskets worth more than $300 each for the Discover Lansdale Passport Program. If you don't yet have your passport, hurry because time is fading fast. Pick one up at the Discover Lansdale table or at the Chamber of Commerce office on Madison St. Then, collect stamps by shopping, dining, and playing at participating borough businesses; when you’ve collected eight stamps, turn it in at the next First Friday.

All your favorite features return to First Friday’s new location and layout along Madison Street:

The Photo Scavenger Hunt: This month sponsored by Lashes by Lindsey

Live on the Main Stage: Juicy Featuring Brianna Taylor.

DJ at Railroad Plaza: Evans Entertainment
