Fishtown Feastivale, Saturday, September 28th 

Fishtown Feastivale takes over Frankford Ave. in Fishtown on September 28th, 2024. Now in its third year, this outdoor end-of-summer food festival & celebration features local foods including burgers, brisket and Bavarian pretzels, paired with Fishtown favorite cocktails and beer, as well as more than 50 local art and retail vendors. A local dunk tank setup and carnival games ensures a swimmingly good time as local DJs encourage visitors to dance the night away.

Feastivale is hosted by the Fishtown District.  

      

Midtown Village Fall Festival, Saturday, September 28th 

Midtown Village has a collection of unique, independent, entrepreneurial, open-minded boutiques, restaurants, lofts and much more. Since 2004, the annual Midtown Village Fall Festival attracts thousands of visitors in one day to experience a variety of activities including multiple stages of live entertainment, food and beverage sampling, merchant and vendor displays, crafters, children’s activities and more.


Delaware River Festival at Penn's Landing and Wiggins Park, Saturday, September 28th 

This annual event brings people together and features a day of family-friendly fun, educational activities, and water-centered learning to the Camden and Philadelphia waterfronts. There's something for everyone! The Delaware River Festival offers something for the whole family: ferry rides, museum visits, pedal boats, face painting, a scavenger hunt, crafts and more.


Upper Darby International Festival 2024, Saturday, September 28th

The International Festival is a signature event for Upper Darby, the sixth largest municipality in Pennsylvania, which represents dozens of cultures from around the world and with over 100 languages spoken. The theme of the 7th Annual Festival is The World in One Place. It will feature a roster of cultural performances, including dancing, martial arts and music. There will also be the traditional Parade of Flags, with flags representing the dozens of home countries of Upper Darby’s residents. 

Thousands of local residents have attended previous years' Festivals, which showcased Upper Darby’s rich cultural diversity through food, live performances and activities for the whole family.  


Fall for Ardmore, Saturday, September 28th

The third annual Fall for Ardmore event, featuring a VIP Beer Garden, will  take place on Schauffele Plaza (parking lot adjacent to Tired Hands Fermentaria) on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Downtown Ardmore will be alive with shopping, food, beer, music, and fun activities for the whole family. Look for fall beer selections that include local and seasonal favorites, plus delicious fare, including Oktoberfest-inspired favorites like bratwurst, sauerkraut, pierogies, and Bavarian pretzels, brisket, and more. Music and family fun found throughout the downtown round out the day with shopping, kids’ activities and more. 

      


WHYY 70th Anniversary All Creatures Pet Fest, Saturday, September 28th

Greater Philadelphia public media station WHYY will celebrate its 70th Anniversary with a special event, the All Creatures Pet Fest on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Peddler’s Village. This family-friendly fall event invites pet lovers and their pets to join the festivities while celebrating the PBS series “All Creatures Great and Small.” Festivities will include ask-a-vet, pet costume contest, adoptions, giveaways, pet-themed vendors and other surprises. 

      

Out & About Festival, Saturday, October 5th

Celebrate National Coming Out Day at Manayunk’s Annual Out & About Festival on Saturday, October 5 from 11a.m. to 4p.m. Local vendors, artists, and organizations will take the street as the day hosts performances, drag story time, shows, and entertainment with groups like Philly Drag Mafia and TNP Productions. Philly Drag Mafia will host a drag story time during Out & About. Other local artists and organizations who will participate in Saturday’s happenings include J.Proud, Therapy Center of Philadelphia, New + Wesley Images, and more. 

    

Scarecrows in the Village, through October 27th 

For six fun-filled weeks, 200 scarecrows line the brick pathways of our autumn-tinted Peddlers Village. Some are inspired by famous characters, some are humorous, some are scary – but all of them are carefully handmade by Philly-area residents and organizations. The display is free and on view every day through October 27. Guests are invited to vote on their favorite scarecrows through October 14 via the Peddler’s Village mobile app. 


Ocean City Ghost Tours

From ocean to bay to inlet, Ocean City abounds with tales of the supernatural and mysterious legends that have haunted the island for centuries. Ocean City Ghost Tour is a candlelight walking tour where "fun in the sun" turns into "fear in the dark." Stroll the avenues and historic town center, while you listen to tales of the unknown and folklore of the shore on the Ghost Tour of Ocean City!

The Ghost Tour is based on the book, “Ghost Stories of Ocean City, NJ.” 


Cape May Ghosts & Mysteries Combo Tour

Victorians of the late 19th century had wild notions about the passage from life to death, and were fascinated by mystery and illusion. Hear Cape May ghost stories as you travel Cape May by trolley, along with strange stories from Victorian Cape May that are just plain weird. Then visit select rooms in the 1879 Physick House Museum and learn about famous Victorian illusionists and magicians. Begins & ends at the Washington Street Mall Trolley Stop. Must be purchased together.


Eastern State Penitentiary's Halloween Nights, through November 9th

Eastern State Penitentiary's Halloween Nights transforms the historic prison into one of Philly's top Halloween attractions each fall. America's largest haunted house, it features over 15 attractions across 11 acres, including five haunted houses, two walking tours, an immersive light display, campfire ghost stories with s’mores, and four themed bars. The event also includes Triple Bottom Brewing’s Fair Chance Beer Garden.
