VIDEO: Septa Bus pushing SUV down Boulevard - sideways

During rush hour on Friday afternoon, the an unusual site was caught on video by a witness in another vehicle as a SEPTA bus was caught pushing a red SUV - sideways - down Roosevelt Boulevard.

The video was obtained by multiple news outlets and showed a Route 82 bus pushing the SUV a significant distance, and through an intersection, on the Boulevard near Sanger Street at approximately 4PM. 

According to a SEPTA spokesperson, the driver accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, which caused an acceleration of the crash. Brakes could be heard screeching at the start of the video, but the two vehicles travelled a significant distance.

SEPTA said an investigation is under way about the entire incident which left seven individuals with non-life-threatening injuries. Five passengers on the bus and two passengers in the vehicle.
