A Philadelphia woman charged in a theft case at a Warrington restaurant involving the alleged use of stolen credit cards to rack up more than $10,000 in purchases had 40 felonies and all 16 misdemeanors lodged against her withdrawn at a preliminary hearing last month.
Now, Tiera Shaunici Anderson, 36, moves on to Bucks County Common Pleas Court on two felonies: Access device fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud, per court documents.
Anderson was originally charged with seven felony counts each of retail theft, conspiracy to commit retail theft, receiving stolen property, conspiracy to receive stolen property, access device fraud, and conspiracy to commit fraud, according to court records.
Anderson's alleged accomplice, Tracey Michelle Gilbert, 54, of Philadelphia, was declared a fugitive from justice in October and remains at large.
Authorities allege both women conspired to steal a woman's wallet from Gran Rodeo in Warrington Township. On May 7, Warrington Township Police responded to the 1512 Main Street restaurant for a report of a stolen wallet.
The victim told police she was sitting at the bar and had her purse on the back of her chair. A short time later, Anderson and Gilbert walked up and stood behind the victim and looked at the menu, police said.
Anderson and Gilbert then removed the victim’s wallet from her purse and left the restaurant, police said. The wallet contained numerous credit cards, money and identification.
The credit cards were used at numerous stores in the area for more than $10,000 in purchases, police allege.
Anderson was arrested Nov. 12 while in Philadelphia. She is free on 10% of $50,000 cash bail.
According to court records, Anderson was sentenced to three to 23 months in Berks County jail and one year probation for pleading guilty to felony retail theft in August 2022. She was sentenced in May 2022 in Chester County Common Pleas court to 79 days to 23 months in jail for retail theft, and three years’ probation for felony receiving stolen property, per court records.
In September 2022, she was sente4nced to 143 days to one year in jail and one year probation for felony access device fraud, per court documents.
In January, she had at least 12 active cases related to retail theft and access device fraud in Philadelphia, Montgomery and Chester counties, per court records.
Anderson will be arraigned on the two felonies on May 2.
