A Powerball ticket worth $1 million was sold in Philadelphia for the Wednesday, April 23 drawing, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.
The winning ticket matched all five white balls drawn — 15, 44, 63, 66, 69 — but missed the red Powerball number, 20. It was sold at the ShopRite of Oxford & Levick, located at 6301 Oxford Avenue. The store will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
The winner has one year from the drawing date to claim the prize. Lottery officials urge players to sign the back of their tickets immediately and visit palottery.com for information on how to file a claim.
More than 22,700 additional Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes in the same drawing, including over 4,300 with Power Play and 2,600 with Double Play.
The Powerball jackpot now rises to an estimated $168 million annuity, or $77.1 million in cash, for the next drawing on Saturday.
