Star Wars-Inspired Haunted House Returns to Manayunk for One Night Only

  • Things To Do

The Dark Side is invading Manayunk once again.

Lincoln Mill Haunted House, one of the region’s most buzzed-about immersive attractions, is bringing back its Star Wars-inspired horror event, “Darkness Rises,” for a one-night-only pop-up on Saturday, May 3, just ahead of Star Wars Day on May the 4th.

From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., fans of both the sci-fi saga and all things spooky can step into a terrifying galaxy of Sith-inspired characters, cinematic horror soundscapes, and ultraviolet-enhanced sets that blend the lore of Star Wars with the chilling atmosphere of Lincoln Mill’s backstory. The experience, set inside a reimagined haunted textile mill at 4100 Main Street, includes dozens of live scare-actors, animatronics, and high-production visuals designed to unsettle even the bravest Jedi.

Co-founder Jared Bilsak, a longtime Star Wars fan, said the storyline for Lincoln Mill’s main villain, Viktor Kane, drew inspiration from Darth Vader. "There’s a constant battle between good and evil in both Star Wars and our haunt," he said. "This event lets us tell a different chapter of the Lincoln Mill story through that lens."

Returning after a successful debut in 2024, this year’s "Darkness Rises" will feature new elements, including “sabersaws” (chainsaw-lightsaber hybrids), Sith-style makeup and robes, and an eerie soundtrack with a dark cinematic twist.

Tickets are $32 for general admission and $47 for VIP access, available now at lincolnmillhaunt.com. Food, drinks, and additional entertainment will be available on-site, including offerings from New Ridge Brewing Company.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early and make a night of it with nearby Manayunk restaurants and bars. SEPTA Regional Rail and bus routes provide convenient transit options, and prepaid parking is available online.
