The Philadelphia Marketplace is back at Dilworth Park, launching six weeks of pop-up shopping featuring local artists, makers, and, for the first time, a vintage market experience. The event runs Fridays and Saturdays from May 2 through June 28, from noon to 6 p.m.
Organized by the team behind the Christmas Village and in partnership with Center City District, the seasonal market will showcase a rotating lineup of small businesses from the Greater Philadelphia area and the tri-state region.
Shoppers can expect a vibrant mix of handmade goods, home décor, art, jewelry, and more, all set against the backdrop of Dilworth Park's lively fountains and Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink.
Fan favorites like Fairy Greens, Cracked Bell, Harleysville Beekeeper, and Kurious Stitches will return alongside dozens of new vendors, offering fresh finds each weekend. Up to 20 businesses will participate weekly, making the Marketplace the city’s largest outdoor artist market.
New this year, the Philadelphia Marketplace will introduce special "Vintage Marketplace" weekends on May 30–31 and June 27–28. These events will feature vendors specializing in retro clothing, timeless jewelry, and eclectic trinkets, alongside the traditional artist booths.
“Philadelphia Marketplace is a fantastic way to celebrate local creativity and kick off the weekend in the heart of Center City,” said organizer Thomas Bauer in a press release. “With the addition of the Vintage Marketplace, there’s even more for visitors to explore and enjoy.”
Admission to the Marketplace is free, with purchases pay-as-you-go. The event is family- and dog-friendly, and shoppers can complement their visit with a spin at the roller rink or grab food and drinks from nearby vendors.
