A gunpoint robbery in Philadelphia’s northwest has resulted in police seeking the public’s assistance. Two suspects are wanted in connection with the crime, which was also caught on video surveillance.
The Philadelphia Police Department’s Northwest Detective Division said in a recent release that it is attempting to identify the individuals responsible for this gun-point robbery which occurred on July 5, near 3200 Allegheny Avenue. Around 5:30 a.m., a complainant reported that two unknown black males robbed her at gunpoint.
The woman reported she was attempting to get in her car near 3200 Allegheny Avenue when “the two males approached her and robbed her at gunpoint.”
“The males fled east bound on Allegheny,” said police. “A short time later the males are seen pulling up in the alley south of Allegheny.”
The complainants were still on scene, and the offenders attempted to take more things from them, according to the police blotter.
“The males later fled in a white Mercedes last seen heading east bound through an alley towards 31st Street,” said police.
