Chamber Orchestra of Europe to Perform at the Marion Anderson Hall

  • Arts and Entertainment

The Chamber Orchestra of Europe will perform at the Marian Anderson Hall at the Kimmel Center on Wednesday, December 10th at 7:30 PM.

“The Chamber Orchestra of Europe, one of the world’s most acclaimed chamber ensembles, join forces with Philadelphia Orchestra Music and Artistic Director Yannick Nezet-Seguin for an unforgettable performance,” the event planners noted. “Experience this dynamic partnership live in Philadelphia for the first time as they present an all-Brahms program full of passion and virtuosity.

“More than an orchestra, this ensemble is a piece of living music history, a continuum of excellence from its beginnings in 1981 to the present. Over those years, what started as a group of young musicians developed working relationships with some of the most highly regarded artists in the classical world, including Calaudio Abbado, Nickolaus Harnoncourt, Simon Rattle, Andras Schiff, and Yannick Nezet-Seguin. The orchestra’s festival performances are legendary, and its recordings, more than 250 works strong, have won numerous international prizes, including two GRAMMYs and three Gramophone Record of the Year’s Awards.”

The Marion Anderson Hall is located at 300 S Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102.

You can call 215-731-3339 for more information.

Note: The Philadelphia Orchestra does not perform on this program.
