As the winter season is upon us, it brings an array of emotions and festivities. The School of Arts and Communication at Bucks County Community College captures the essence of this chilly time of year with its group exhibition, “Winter Impressions.”
The exhibition will be on display at the Hicks Art Center Atrium Galleries through February 8.
The exhibition is located at the community college’s Newtown Township campus at 275 Swamp Road.
According to the community college, the exhibition invites visitors into a world where more than 20 local artists showcase their interpretations of winter through various mediums. From paintings and sculptures to multimedia installations, each piece offers a unique perspective on the season known for its cold weather and cultural celebrations.
The exhibition encourages visitors to bring new, unused clothing and non-perishable food items. The donations will support the Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter in Bristol Township and the community college’s own Bucks Market, a free food pantry service for students facing food insecurity.
The community is also invited to a special closing reception on January 25, 2025, from noon to 3 p.m. at the Hicks Art Center, where attendees can meet the artists and enjoy one last view of the winter-themed artworks.
