Madison Resort Wildwood Crest named #1 Best New Hotel by USA Today
Madison Resort Wildwood Crest has earned the prestigious title of #1 Best New Hotel in the USA Today 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards, a milestone achievement for the New Jersey-based property that opened in May 2024. This is the first time a hotel from New Jersey—and the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey region—has won this national recognition.
Located at 7201 Ocean Avenue, the resort offers year-round accommodations, including two pools, two restaurants, fitness facilities, beach access, and complimentary shuttle services throughout Wildwood.
A transformative journey
The resort's journey began in 2022 with Madison Resorts acquiring the iconic Oceanview Motel, followed by the neighboring Royal Hawaiian Motel in 2023. After a $54 million transformation, the properties were reintroduced as the Ocean Tower and Royal Tower under the Madison Resorts brand. Together, they now form the largest resort in Cape May County, boasting over 200 guest rooms, two pools, two restaurants, direct beach access, and extensive event spaces.

The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Authority praised the resort's vision and innovation, calling the award “a true celebration of their commitment to excellence.”
