Philadelphia police responded to reports of a shooting on the 5000 block of Rorer street, in Feltonville, at 7 A.M. Tuesday.
When they arrived, they found 17-year-old Noah Scurry with multiple gun shot wounds in an alley behind a house. A weapon was found on the scene.
According to Fox29 Scurry was on his way to school with his mom when he was shot. He was a student at Samuel Fels High School.
6ABC reported that Scurry was an accomplished student athlete who was on the basketball team and had the schools highest SAT score.
Scurry was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities are looking for the shooter. No associated arrests have been made and no details are available about the shooter.
