Sunday's snow storm may only be remembered in the annals of Philadelphia for the atmosphere it created at an Eagles playoff game, but there was enough snow to create a snow emergency in the city.
City officials declared a snow emergency, which means all parked vehicles must be removed off snow emergency routes throughout Philadelphia.
Parked vehicles not moved are eligible to be both ticketed and towed by the city.
To determine if a street your car is parked on is, in fact, a snow emergency route, the Department of Streets has a list on the City's web site.
If your vehicle is towed during a snow emergency, you should call 215-686-SNOW and not 911 to find out where it is being held.
Don't fret about space, however, the Philadelphia Parking Authority offer a discounted $5 flat rate at parking lots and garages during a snow emergency.
