Fashion District Philadelphia celebrates Lunar New Year with two-week festival

Philadelphia is about to get a vibrant splash of red and gold as Fashion District Philadelphia gears up for a two-week-long Lunar New Year celebration from February 1st to February 16th. This dazzling event is packed with cultural performances, interactive activities, shopping perks, and festive decor—all free and open to the public.

Kickoff event 

The celebration starts with a special kick-off event on Saturday, Feb. 1 from noon to 2 pm at The Cube (901 Market Street), promising fun for the whole family. The highlight? A breathtaking Lion Dance performance and parade by the Philadelphia Suns, complete with drumming and live music. The parade will wind its way through the mall, making stops outside various stores and landmarks, before returning to The Cube for more festive fun.

      

Families and shoppers can also enjoy:

• A Lunar New Year-themed children's craft activity
• In-person Red Envelopes (complimentary while supplies last) with a special offer from Wetzel’s Pretzels
• Digital Red Envelopes featuring exclusive deals from top retailers, accessible via special QR codes placed throughout the mall

From the moment you step inside Fashion District Philadelphia, you’ll be immersed in the magic of Lunar New Year! The mall will be fully decked out in traditional red and gold with stunning decorations, including:

• A soaring dragon installation above The Cube entrance
• Red, gold, and yellow lanterns adorning different levels of the mall
• Cherry blossom-inspired floral arrangements adding a touch of beauty to kiosks and gathering spaces
• Custom Lunar New Year photo stations, including a special LOVE sculpture makeover at 10th Street and a themed transformation of the main photo area inside The Cube at 9th & Market

From now through February 16th, visitors can unlock special Lunar New Year discounts from a variety of Fashion District retailers.
