On November 16th, the Philadelphia Orchestra celebrates its 125th birthday, the date falling a few months before the nation celebrates its 250th birthday. Music and Artistic Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin and The Philadelphia Orchestra are celebrating birthdays throughout the 2025-26 season through a reflection of the past and a look into the future.

The Orchestra is continuing the happy hours series for the third year. The program, Orchestra After 5, will include three after-work performances through the 2025-26 season.

In addition, Family Concerts are returning as well with five performances for a family audience. The Children’s Halloween Spectacular (October 18th), The Children’s Holiday Spectacular (December 20th), Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf (February 7th), Benjamin Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra (March 14th), and Hip-Hop Orchestra (May 2nd) are the five performances for the season.

If you are looking for a Philadelphia experience outside of Philadelphia, you are lucky. The Orchestra will perform at New York’s Carnegie Hall for four different performances throughout the season on October 31st, March 10th, March 31st, and May 29th.

For all of the Harry Potter fans, on September 26th through the 28th at Marian Anderson Hall, the Orchestra will perform John Williams’s score to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets live while the movie plays on a big screen.

Opening night for the Orchestra is on September 25th.

The complete concert calendar can be found on the website calendar.

Tickets go on sale to the public on July 31st at www.philorch.org or by calling 215-893-1999.
