Philadelphia’s favorite post-work happy hour is finally legal - by age, that is.

Center City District’s SIPS returns for it's 21st year this week for another summer of post-work, um, bonding.

Every Wednesday, beginning June 4th through August 27th, participating bars in Center City will offer $7 cocktails, $6 wine, $5 beer, and half-priced appetizers from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.. Specific locations will offer 15% off dinner after 7 p.m.

“SIPS is about so much more than discounted cocktails—it's about rediscovering the spontaneous conversations and authentic moments that happen when we step away from our screens and into each other's company,” said Center City District President and CEO Prema Katari Gupta. “Nothing replaces the energy of colleagues and friends forging bonds that strengthen both personal and professional relationships.”

Whether you are looking for a cocktail lounge, beer garden, restaurant, or a bar to dance at, SIPS has it all.

21st Birthday Party

If you want to celebrate SIPS' 21st birthday, Wednesday is opening night. SIPS will be hosting a one-night-only birthday bash in partnership with Wooder Ice from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dilworth Park.

The celebration will bring guests back in time to 2004, when SIPS was started, with their early-2000s-themed decor. The expected fun only begins there.

The night will include giveaways and activations from Hornitos Tequila and a live DJ to get the party going, along with special SIPS pricing on drinks.

The event is free for guests as old as SIPS and older - which is 21 and over. Ticketed upgrades are no longer available for purchase.
