PennDOT announced on Friday that barrier installation and line stripping will occur at night next week on I-95 North in South Philadelphia.
This project comes under a $37.4 million project that is repairing 27 bridges on I-95 in Philadelphia to help maintain functionality and safety of the structures.
PennDOT is advising motorists of travel restrictions from Wednesday, June 11, to Friday, June 13 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following mornings. During those windows there will be a lane closure in place on northbound I-95 between Packer Avenue and Wolf Street and the ramp from the Walt Whitman Bridge to northbound I-95.
Motorists are being advised to provide extra time in their transportation to work to allow room for any potential delays and backups.
Motorists can check on the conditions of the roadways 24 hours a day and seven days a week on www.511PA.com.
In addition to this week's closures, I-95 will be experiencing closures throughout the remainder of the month.
