The weather is getting hotter and schools are letting out, which means that it is officially pool season in Philadelphia.

The first openings of the summer are happening today at Hunting Park Pool and Kelly Pool. Four more pools are scheduled to open throughout the weekend, which includes Fox Chase Pool, Schmidt Pool, Penrose Pool, and Gathers Pool.

This summer the Parks & Rec’s of Philadelphia are expecting to open over 60 public pools. To make it even better, all open pools will offer free swim lessons for children.

All public pools will be open for public swim from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. daily; however, additional hours may vary by location, so be sure to check out all pool schedules

All scheduled openings are subject to change. Because of ongoing restoration, 12th & Cambria Pool, Amos Pool, Baker Pool, CB Moore Pool, Cohen (Hillside) Pool, McVeigh Pool, Myers Pool,  Sample Pool, and Ziehler Pool will not be opening for the 2025 pool season.
