An unidentified man was arrested and put in custody after a fatal shooting at a 7-Eleven in Philadelphia’s Tacony section, Thursday morning, according to police.

Police arrived at the store, located at the intersection of Torresdale Avenue and Disson Street, shortly after 7 a.m. Officials said they found a man with a gunshot wound to the head, pronounced dead at the scene.

Police pursued the shooter's vehicle, described as a flooring company’s truck, to a property not far from where the shooting happened. According to police, the suspect was placed in custody at about 7:44 a.m.

According to witnesses, a fight had broken out near the video gambling machines, which quickly escalated.

Chris Mullins, a friend of the victim, spoke about the shooter's demeanor, Action News reported

"As he walked out of the store, he was putting the gun in his waistband. But he walked out like nothing happened," said Chris Mullins. "You never know. An argument can turn into that."

Roughly 30 minutes later, officers were called to the 7000 block of Tulip Street for reports of a man potentially linked to the 7-Eleven shooting. Officers arrived at the scene with three armored SWAT vehicles and officers dressed in full tactical gear, Action News reported

A little girl was taken out of the house.

No other information has been reported. The police investigation remains ongoing.
