Zunir Wilson-Walker, 22, of Philadelphia, pleaded guilty to a charge of theft by unlawful taking in Abington Township stemming from an incident that occurred in May 2023, according to The Reporter

On Jan. 27, Wilson-Walker pleaded guilty to a charge of theft by unlawful taking and was sentenced to 18 to 36 months in prison for that incident.

According to the article, while Walker-Wilson was in jail awaiting court action on those theft-related charges stemming from the incident in Abington Township, he is now accused of attempting to hire someone from behind bars to kill his former girlfriend via Instagram in an alleged murder-for-hire plot.

The man who Wilson-Walker allegedly attmepted to help him, Jadan Uriah Jones, 20, of the 700 block of George Street, Norristown, waived his preliminary hearing on identical charges in connection with the alleged plot.

The latest investigation began on Nov. 25, 2024, when county detectives were alerted by officials at the jail about the alleged murder-for-hire plot. Jail officials uncovered the plot while investigating Wilson-Walker for misuse of the inmate telephone system, according to the criminal complaint filed by county Detective Anthony Caso.

On Nov. 9, Wilson-Walker, according to a recorded conversation, asked Jones to create a fake Instagram account and create a “story” on the app that offered $15,000, a Cartier watch and a car as payment for beating up and killing the mother of his 11-month-old child, according to the arrest affidavit.

Detectives obtained a warrant to acquire Instagram records related to an account with the name “walkdownmontt” and found that it was created at approximately 2:18 p.m. on Nov. 9, 2024, just 10 minutes after Wilson-Walker provided the account name to Jones, according to the criminal complaint.

The “stories” included numerous derogatory comments about Wilson-Walker’s former girlfriend, as well as a location where she would be at a specific date and time, a description of her car, her home address and other identifying information. The eight posts also offered the $15,000 payment, jewelry and car for her to “get took off the map,” according to the arrest affidavit.
