Memorial Day Weekend is right around the corner, and if you're looking to visit the Jersey Shore for a day trip, there are plenty of options.
Weekday badge prices and amenities vary by beach, but several beaches are free to the public. Here’s a list of free beaches to help you make the most of your vacation for little to no cost.
The majority of free beaches don’t have lifeguards on duty, but there are a few exceptions, such as Keansburg and Highlands beaches.
Cost: Both free and badge beaches are available. There is free public access on Ocean Avenue, however, Sea Bright Municipal Beach and Anchorage Beach require badges.
Parking: Public parking is available near the beaches through Sept. 15 for $2 per hour and is required between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.
