Hellfire meets harmony in a bonfire that The Prince of Darkness himself would have approved.
102.9 MGK’s Big Bad Bonfire returns to Spring Mountain in Upper Salford Township on Saturday, complete with a massive bonfire with a flaming guitar in honor of Ozzy Osbourne.
The free event has a rain date of Saturday, Oct. 18. There will be food trucks and outdoor beer bars at the event.
Hartland Demolition provided the wood and built the Big Bad Bonfire for the event, featuring a 20-foot-high guitar, built by Greg Monaghan. WMGK thanked Upper Salford Fire Co. for keeping things safe.
Although the event is free, guests can purchase tickets for Scream Mountain’s collection of haunted woods walks & hayrides.
Free parking
Guests should follow signs for event parking. Here is how to get to the party. There is free paring at the Folk Festival lots and a shuttle bus for attendees that is two minutes from the event.
VIP parking is available in front of Spring Mountain for $20.
What You Can and Can’t Bring
Chairs and blankets are encouraged. No coolers will be allowed. There will be vendors selling food, soda, water and beer. No dogs will be allowed on the premises.
Games and activities are set to kick off at 5 p.m., with the MGK house band The Bambu Weasels rocking the stage at 6:30 p.m. At 7 p.m., there is a haunted hayride and haunted lift walk, which require tickets.
The bonfire will be lit at 7:35 p.m. by station DJs. Bambu Weasels play again at 7:40 p.m., with the event wrapping up at 9 p.m. The final shuttle bus ends at 10 p.m.
