Less than 24 hours before Media Day, the Sixers announced that second-year guard Jared McCain tore the UCL in the thumb on his shooting hand during a workout on Thursday. McCain and the team are consulting with specialists on next steps and further updates will be provided as appropriate.
Before he ever gets to return to the floor after his rookie season was derailed by a torn meniscus, McCain is freshly back on the shelf with a new injury.
