What milestones could Phillies hitters and pitchers reach during the 2026 season? Here are 13 to keep an eye out for.
Bryce Harper will enter 2026 sitting on 363 career home runs, meaning he would need to hit 37 home runs to reach 400 for his career. As hard as it may be to believe, the only time in his career he's hit 37 or more home runs came back in 2015, when he hit 42 homers for the Washington Nationals en route to winning his first NL MVP.
Harper may be more likely to hit his 400th career home run in 2027 than 2026, and Kyle Schwarber is in the same category. He's sitting on 340 career home runs, so he would need to hit 60 in 2026 to get to 400. After he hit 56 this past year, that can't be entirely ruled out, but it's certainly not likely.
Schwarber probably won't get to 400 home runs in 2026, but 350 is all-but certain, as he's just 10 away. For reference, Schwarber hit 10 or more home runs in three individual months last season (May, July and August).
If Schwarber gets to 350 home runs at some point in 2026, it would be a remarkably quick ascent considering he hit his 300th home run on May 19, 2025. 500 career home runs feels very much in play for the slugger.
Trea Turner is 14 home runs away from 200 in his career. Over his first three seasons as a Phillie, Turner has homered 62 times. The 15 home runs he had in 2025 were his least so far as a Phillie, but the Phillies asked him to focus more on hitting for contact and utilizing his speed in 2025, and the results were great, as he won the NL batting title and stole 36 bases.
Turner reached 1,500 career hits last August, and J.T. Realmuto has a chance to join him in that club in 2026. Back on a three-year/$45 million contract, Realmuto will enter 2026 with 1,366 hits over his first 12 MLB seasons.
Turner and Realmuto are both within striking distance of 300 career doubles. Turner — who doubled 31 times in 2025 — needs 18 doubles in 2026 to reach 300 for his career. Realmuto needs 21 doubles to get to 300 in 2026, which is doable after he doubled 26 times a year ago.
Turner is only two triples away from 50 in his career. Even after consecutive years with hamstring injuries, he should be able to get to that mark relatively easily in 2026. The only active players with more triples than his 48 in their careers are Starling Marte (55), Mike Trout (55) and Andrew McCutchen (50).
Aaron Nola is 124 strikeouts away from 2,000 in his career. He's struck out more than 124 batters seven times (2017-2019; 2021-2024). Six active starters — Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, Chris Sale, Gerrit Cole, Charlie Morton and Yu Darvish — have more than 2,000 strikeouts, though the futures of just about all those veterans are in flux. Kevin Gausman (1,954) and Sonny Gray (1,925) are also likely to join the 2K Club in 2026.
Jhoan Duran is 10 saves away from 100 in his career. Between the Minnesota Twins and Phillies, Duran recorded 32 saves in 2025.
Harper needs 121 hits in 2026 to reach 1,000 as a Phillie. Harper has topped 121 hits as a Phillie in five separate seasons (2019, 2021, 2023-2025). In total, Harper has 1,801 hits in his career.
Harper enters 2026 sitting on 179 home runs as a Phillie, five less than the 184 he hit in seven years with the Nationals. That means he'll need 21 home runs this upcoming season to get to 200 with the Phillies.
Meanwhile, Schwarber has hit a staggering 187 home runs in four seasons with the Phillies, so he's just 13 roundtrippers away 200 in red pinstripes.
Since the franchise began play in 1883, 10 players have hit 200 home runs as Phillies: Mike Schmidt (548), Ryan Howard (382), Del Ennis (259), Pat Burrell (251), Chuck Klein (243), Chase Utley (233), Greg Luzinski (223), Cy Williams (217), Jimmy Rollins (216) and Dick Allen (204).
Schwarber and Realmuto will both begin the 2026 season with 434 RBIs since joining the Phillies. Schwarber should easily drive in 66 runs this year, while Realmuto is more of a long shot at this stage of his career. They would join Harper, who has 530 RBIs as a member of the Phillies.
Nola is sixth in franchise history among pitchers in Baseball Reference's calculation of WAR — commonly referred to as bWAR — at 35.3. Curt Schilling is fifth at 36.8, so with a normal Nola season, he'll easily move past Schilling. Of course, 2025 was anything but a normal season for Nola, as he posted a minus-0.3 WAR, so he'll need a rebound.
Whenever Nola does pass Schilling, the only pitchers who will have accumulated more WAR as Phillies will be Robin Roberts (69.8), Steve Carlton (64.6), Grover Cleveland Alexander (60.6) and Cole Hamels (42).
Nola needs six wins to tie Hamels for sixth in franchise history in pitching victories at 114. He needs seven to tie Curt Simmons at 115 for fifth. Eight would put him into sole possession of fifth place.
