A barrage of gunfire left two men dead in an execution-style shooting in Northeast Philadelphia overnight.

According to a report by NBC10, more than 40 shots were fired at approximately 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of Claridge St. and Adams Ave. in the Crescentville section of Northeast Philadelphia.

Two men, sitting inside a Jeep were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the report, The 32-year-old driver was found in the driver's seat of the SUV with gunshot wounds to the head and torso. A second man was found on the ground next to the passenger side of the vehicle.

Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told NBC10 that the shots were fired from two different semiautomatic weapons and that at least 20 shots were fired into the Jeep itself, with many of the shots going through the front windshield.

Small also said that a neighborhood camera captured the entire shooting.

"You can see a white sedan -- four door, appears to be a Honda with heavy tinted windows -- pull up next to the parked Jeep," Small said. "Someone gets out of the driver side, someone also gets out of the passenger side and they begin firing shots into this Jeep."

No arrests have been made and no motive for the shooting is known at this time.
